Whilst Mumbai is a busy, steamy and bustling urban environment during the day, the early mornings reveal a completely different and less frenetic side of the city.    Our morning walk starts at sunrise, stopping at the Victoria Terminus station where the city’s newspapers are prepared to be delivered to the city and its suburbs. Here’s you’ll also see milk vendors cycling with their huge canisters of milk and bread being transported to retail outlets throughout the city.  The trip continues to the Sassoon Docks, arriving just as the Kohli fisher folk are pulling in their daily catch.  These are the original inhabitants of Mumbai’s islands; watch them unload their catch and you might see local fish such as the curiously named Bombay Duck.   From here the tour continues to the colorful and aromatic wholesale flower market, before ending at the Crawford Market just as the fruit and vegetables arrive.  It is estimated that 3000 tones of produce gets traded here every day, You return to the hotel for breakfast and your morning is at leisure. This is a brilliant alternative to more classic tours of Mumbai and ideal for those who are active and a little adventurous.
