Perched on one of Kerala’s finest beaches, A Beach Symphony is a sumptuous boutique hotel with just four cottages and one separate villa (Veena Beach Villa). Owned and run by Belgium husband and wife team Jan and Christel, A Beach Symphony has clearly been a labour of love and the result is very intimate, secluded and wonderfully homely. Despite being small there’s a 14 x 5m turquoise pool and a garden pavilion, perfect for relaxing with a book. Meals are generally delivered to the cottages to be enjoyed in private on the spacious verandas, or otherwise a table can be set up in the gardens or in one of the pavilions.
Each cottage is slightly different, reflecting a different style of Keralan architecture. Expect large dark wood columns, white washed walls, carved teak beds, crisp white sheets and spiced coloured soft furnishings. All cottages have verandas with either garden or ocean views, however The Violin Cottage also boasts a private pool so is slightly more expensive. A Beach Symphony is an excellent property that receives fantastic feedback, as a result we hightly recommend booking well in advance.
Please note A Beach Symphony, like many properties in Kerala, doesn’t have a license to serve alcohol. Guests are welcome to bring wine and beer to be consumed only in the rooms.
