This 19-room boutique hotel is owned and run by CGH Earth, renowned for their small, high quality and environmentally friendly hotels across South India. Eighth Bastion is no exception; it exudes quality and sophistication without being pretentious and is just a short walk from all of the major sights in Fort Cochin. All of the rooms feed off the main central courtyard and pool; they are all the same category and are spread across three floors. Expect king size beds, crisp white sheets, shimmering white walls, floor to ceiling windows and large bathrooms. The rooms do vary slightly with some enjoying balconies and others having tiny gardens. The restaurant receives positive feedback and serves both Keralan and Western inspired dishes. There are bicycles available too, which are complimentary.

Please note Eighth Bastion, like many properties in Kerala, doesn’t have a license to serve alcohol. Guests are welcome to bring wine and beer to be consumed only in the rooms.
