Run by Rani and her husband KK; The School Estate is a beautiful estate homestay in the hills of Coorg. The four room estate bungalow dates back to colonial times; it was original the home of Rev. Rictor, one of the earliest missionaries to reach Coorg. It oozes charm and warmth with beautiful rosewood doors, colonial furniture and a dazzling garden filled with blooming jasmine. Below the house is a coffee and a spice plantation, the perfect place for a morning stroll. In the evening guests dine in the beautiful restaurant area, where traditional local dishes are served. There’s also the opportunity to learn how to cook the unique food only found in this part of India. We feel The School Estate is particularly great for lovers of the outdoors as fishing, golf, bird watching and trekking is available in the surrounding area. It’s also a wonderful place to unwind.
