Dating back to the 1670’s, and currently owned by the 17th generation, Fort Barli radiates history. The fort, painted in a soft yellow, is completely tranquil with dozens of courtyards and rooftops linked by winding staircases. Within the fort are eight beautiful suites, four temples, numerous neem trees and several areas to dine. The property has been restored very tastefully; think wonderful old doors, historic photographs, large comfortable beds, modern and powerful showers as well as fantastic pool surrounded by sun loungers. There are both Suites and Family Suites available, they all vary slightly due to the size and shape of the building, but expect lots of space and views of the surrounding farmland.  Your welcoming hosts are able to arrange numerous activities for you including bullock cart rides, cycling, star gazing, school visits, seeing pottery artists at work, village walks and even trips to the monsoon lake. We feel that this is one of Rajasthan’s most authentic and well-run rural properties.
