Sherbagh is one of Ranthambore’s most sophisticated and luxurious tented camps. It borders Rathambore and only takes 10 minutes to the park entrance. The elegant atmosphere, excellent food and spoiling tents make this place, along with the inviting pool perfect for the midday heat. The 12 hand stitched canvas tents are set out in the shape of an arc, surrounding a manicured lawn. These have been inspired by 1920’s safari accommodation, with 19th century teak campaign style furniture, wide rattan floors, a writing desk, and a large bed with white cotton sheets. Each has its own sumptuous bathroom with hot water showers. Every tent is air-conditioned with its own private terrace.

Dinners are often served under the stars using vegetables from the organic gardens. Tea is served in the afternoon, the bar is open all day, and drinks are enjoyed around a campfire in the evenings. Sherbagh is a little on the pricey side but we feel it’s well worth the splurge.
