Located just 40km from Palakkad in central Kerala, Planter’s Retreat offers a comfortable stop and a wonderful insight into rural life when travelling through southern India. It’s a beautiful plantation home owned by a Syrian Christian family, who warmly welcome you. The home has been passed down through several generations so the family can take you though what life was like back then as well as now. There are three spacious rooms with air-conditioning. These are simple but tasteful with lots of space for relaxation. While you are there enjoy a guided tour of the plantation, long treks with picnics and even fishing. We feel that this is a comfortable and clean ancestral home with fantastic surroundings, ideal for a stop en route to northern or southern Kerala.
