The Bison Resort is a peaceful tented camp just a short drive from the entrance of Nagarhole National Park. The camp is raised on stilts with the tents being reached by wooden walkways, allowing wildlife to walk through the camp should they want to. The style of the camp blends African safari with a traditional Raj style-hunting lodge. Expect wooden floors, white linen, beautiful artefacts and old cabin trunks. The owners of The Bison are avid wildlife enthusiasts and conservationists and this knowledge and expertise has been passed down to the local staff that they have trained. Each tent is sheltered by a thatched roof and has fantastic views out to the water. There’s also an observation deck, a separate dining area and also a pool to cool off in between safaris. We feel that, although simple, The Bison is one of the best options in Nagarhole.
